I loved the cozy and elegant decoration throughout the hotel. The furniture, curtains, and carpets had a classic style that made me feel like I was stepping back in time. It was a beautiful atmosphere to relax and unwind. The common areas were also designed with senior guests in mind, providing comfortable seating and easy accessibility for us to move around without any issues.
Although the children working there were polite and tried to help, I wish there had been more staff available to assist senior guests like myself. It would have been nice to have a dedicated concierge service or an attendant specifically trained to cater to our needs and ensure a better vacation experience.

We stayed here during carnival as the location was recommended and the price was good especially for carnival time.
The staff were fantastic, incredibly polite & helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. They gave us lots of advice & dealt with any issues we raised very promptly. The food was good & we ate in a few evenings enjoying good food in their relaxed bar. The views from the gym & restaurant on the 12th floor are stunning! The location was great for travelling as the metro is just around the corner. There is also a lovely quiet beach at the front of the hotel.
Whilst the location was good in some respects there wasn’t much to do or see within walking distance of the hotel & hardly any restaurants to go to for an evening meal. We got on the metro & went further afield to look for restaurants. Our room was disappointing. It was clean & well maintained but we had hardly any daylight as our window opened onto another part of the hotel so we could barely see the sky. There was little storage space & the sheets were torn in places. The room was a bit worn & faded & needed some updating.

Attended a business event, admired the view of the sea while working out, had a delicious complimentary breakfast and enjoyed drinks in the lively piano bar. Great place for a visit.
The internet was as slow as a sloth trying to climb a tree.

The staff, the view to the Baia da Guanabara, the breakfast buffet. We stayed at the deluxe room which had a beautiful view to the sugar loaf and the flamengo beach. Not a clean beach to stay on, but it is not far from Ipanema or Leblon, where the price of hotels are prohibitive.
the beach across from the hotel, not much around the hotel like restaurants or bars. You need to take a taxi to go to nicer places. However it does not cost much.

The service was fine, they really appear to be trying to please. It has more of a business class about it but was comfortable for a city visit. I wanted a hotel closer to the airport but not at the airport so we would not have to fight traffic on the way out. It was not directly on the "famous beaches" but close to all the sights we wanted, Sta. Teresa,Corcovada,SugerLoaf,... Also close to the Fine Arts Museaum. No complaints, nothing fancy but very functional. Good morning breakfast included in our fare. Recommend a view room of SugarLoaf if you can get it. Non-smoking really did mean non-smoking, no hint of smoke smell in the room. At the airport when getting a taxi go directly to the yellow cabs as they have a standard rate, better then the guys that are waiting at the door to grab you for their taxis.

I had a wonderful stay at this luxurious hotel. The location is perfect, situated in a prestigious neighborhood of the city. With the metro just one block away, I could easily explore all the attractions of this vibrant city. The best part was the breathtaking view from my room. Facing Guanabara Bay and the Catete Palace Gardens, I had a stunning view of the famous Cristo Redentor. It was truly a sight to behold.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone without any hesitation.

Terrific access to Metro; terrific restaurant around the corner: the meal was charged based on the weight of the food chosen (sorry, can't remember name).
We got a single bowl of soup from the buffet, and although it did not cost as much as the buffet, we were charged 50% of the price of the buffet. We were definitely overcharged for this.

The view is magnificent and the location is great because it is not so expensive as the beach hotels.

Location is good. Right next to Flamengo Park in a safe district. Lots of buses to Centro, Copacabana and Ipanema pass in front of the hotel and it's a short walk to Catete metro station.
Room was dark, smelt of smoke, and decor was a bit dated.
